Umbrella Training presented with second Princess Royal Training Award
Hospitality apprenticeship provider Umbrella Training has won a Princess Royal Training Award for the second time, recognising the organisation’s exceptional commitment to learning and development.
Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal presented Umbrella founder and CEO, Adele Oxberry with the prestigious award at a ceremony held at St James’s Palace on 23 November.
Umbrella was awarded alongside 52 recipients this year, recognising their unwavering dedication to training, outstanding skills development programmes, and positive impact on people.
Since achieving its first award in 2020, the business has evolved with a new leadership structure and enhanced working relationships with its employers.
Umbrella has also continued to adapt its course content, which is reflected in the success of its trainees: 78% of its apprentices achieve a distinction and it has a 100% apprentice pass rate at end point assessment stage.
During the ceremony, Jenni Clarke, commercial director at Umbrella Training, was also selected to share some of the details around the company’s programmes with Her Royal Highness.
Adele Oxberry, CEO and founder of Umbrella Training, said: “This was such an incredible moment for me and the team. We are ecstatic about receiving this prestigious accolade once again for our Umbrella Colleague Academy.
“Our team are the most important part of our business and year on year investment into our colleagues not only produces amazing results for our apprentices but for our valued business partners as well.
“Our ongoing vision to integrate new technologies into our business and curriculum to increase productivity, retention and positive outcomes means we need to lead the way with our professional development programmes for our team.”
