Saint-Gobain Interior Solutions, through its brands British Gypsum and Isover, has released an all new episode of its Building Better series, focusing on the role of women in the construction industry.

The second episode explores how the construction industry is evolving, with women making significant strides in a traditionally male-dominated sector, emphasising how progress marks the beginning of the journey towards achieving true gender equality in construction.

Highlighting the importance of this latest episode, Rachel Kelly, Head of Brand at Saint-Gobain Interior Solutions, said: “Diverse teams are vital for driving innovation and achieving long-term success in the industry. By championing opportunities for women in construction, we can build a more inclusive workforce that strengthens the sector’s resilience and unlocks its full potential to build better communities for future generations.”

This second episode of the Building Better series highlights stories from women across the construction sector and illustrates efforts to create more inclusive roles where individuals can impact the future of the built environment and enhance workforce diversity.

The episode also spotlights some of the fantastic women making a huge difference, such as those from the ‘I Am a Housebuilder’ initiative, which is represented by inspirational figures such as Sophie Horgan, Director of Horgan Homes and Xuan Meng, Founder of Cosy Hauz. Known as ‘The Magnificent 7’, the initiative aims to mentor those starting their career as a housebuilder where successful leaders of the housebuilding sector can provide expert advice and guidance - demonstrating the progress being made to inspire future generations to join the sector.
