Mobile Electrical AP Engineer - Belfast
Role Profile:
We are looking to recruit an Authorise Person with an Electrical bias.
Working on a mobile basis covering a designated area you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with JSP375 (Management of Health & Safety in Defence) and ensure effective and timely delivery of additional works, planned and response maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Accept responsibility for implementation and operation of JSP375 to ensure effective and timely delivery of additional works, planned and response maintenance.
- Ensure all persons within service delivery area adhere to JSP375.
- Assess competence of Skilled Persons to ensure management of qualified and experience Operatives.
- Produce risk assessments and method statements.
- Review site risk registers, follow maintenance and management processes, notify of any defects on equipment or systems.
- Liaise closely with Authorising Engineers take ownership of personal training plan, familiarisation, and knowledge across all sites within designated area.
- Ensure consistent and efficiency of delivery of JSP 375 across the contract.
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with DIO (Defence Infrastructure Organisation) and end users to support estate activities and provide advice as required.
- Manage cost and stakeholder expectation through communication and sound commercial decisions.
What we are looking for
Essential:
- Practical experience in ensuring the operational delivery of JSP375.
- Experience in managing site operations including managing staff, planning, and controlling activities, managing resources, and agreeing scope and priorities of work.
Desirable:
- Significant experience in practically managing safe systems of work including in an MOD environment, working knowledge of CDM regulations.
Qualifications
- Trade qualification (ONC or equivalent) Electrical engineering.
- Technical qualifications as required by JSP 375 including: -
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- City& Guilds Inspection & Testing 2391-10 Level 2
- Emergency First Aid (undertaken as part of the induction)
- Fire Safety (undertaken as part of the induction)

- £34,000 - £36,000 p/a
- Monday - Friday
