Salary: £45,000 pa
I am working with one of my favourite clients on a brand new Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Manager role. This group boasts 15+ gorgeous sites in their portfolio and they are on a strong growth trajectory, both in the UK and into Europe.
This newly created role will support the delivery of their established and evolving goals related to ESG as defined by their Positive Impact Strategy. Working on the delivery of wide reaching, time bound objectives, this collaborative role will pivot between subject matter expertise/project leadership to research and advisory work, allowing the group to meet and expand goals.
Driven by collaboration, the ESG Manager will build relationships internally and externally, building cultural commitment to “building with purpose” across the business. This will be achieved whilst driving better partnership outcomes from our external providers – sharing mission and vision, gaining buy-in and working toward
Key Responsibilities
- Own and communicate the Positive Impact Strategy.
- Create and map projects via Asana to deliver Positive Impact Strategy goals with clear, agreed involvement from stakeholders with interval assessment and reporting on progress.
- Communicate progress on Positive Impact Strategy goals at regular intervals identifying challenges and opportunities.
- Manage reporting on energy consumption with accompanying initiatives to improve consumption/performance.
- Responsible for waste stream management across all locations
- Create recycling/disposal programme for furniture items and other FF&E
- Create procurement guidelines by category in conjunction with stakeholders to agreed roadmap.
- Manage carbon consumption reporting, improving accuracy to enable reduction and capture and track the business carbon footprint.
- Understand and maintain awareness of environmental legislation to ensure compliance.
- B-Corp status achievement – scoping the opportunity and project management of accreditation.
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the built environment and how ESG strategy applies to construction / fit-out projects, including the procurement process. Exposure to ISO application and accreditation, particularly ISO 14001 / ISO55001 would be advantageous too.
