At Landmarc we are passionate about providing safe, compliant and effective places for our Armed Forces to train in. We are looking to recruit an Asset Data Manager with strong analytical skills and CAFM system experience.
We are currently undergoing an exciting and interesting period change, transferring from a Hard FM Standards and Tasks asset schedule to SFG20 as our new industry standard for building maintenance specification. The Asset Data Manager will work with our Contract Support Office experts as we embrace working towards Strategic Asset Management and ISO55000.
With support and input from other technical SMEs, the Asset Data Manager will have responsibility for the East Asset Database and will need to ensure its optimisation from both compliance and efficiency points of view. The candidate will need to have strong analytical and business change skills and capable of collaborating and communicating well within a multi-stakeholder environment.
The post will be based at West Tofts Camp (IP26 5EP), near Thetford and regular travel will be required across the East region, to include sites in Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Essex and Northamptonshire. There is a degree of flexibility in the role, and with hybrid working options are available.
To take responsibility for managing the Asset database in East Region comprising approximately 1000 built assets, rural assets, and many thousands of sub assets.
Lead the East Region transition from DIO Hard FM Standards and Tasks to SFG20.
To keep the database updated with new and demolished assets. Ensure the completion of scheduling for any new Assets in-line with O&M manuals. Collaborate with the project team and Area Maintenance teams to support the ‘soft landing’ of any new infrastructure or systems from an Asset Database point of view.
To be the East Region subject matter expert in our CAFM system, Maximo, and maintenance framework SFG20. To coach, educate and support Area Operations team and ensure compliance with process and most effective utilisation of systems. Undertake proactive support checks to ensure that we are procedurally compliant, deliver induction and training as required.
Work with and support the Area Operations teams, including Maintenance Managers, to ensure maintenance tasks are scheduled in the most efficient way. Collect feedback, analyse data and trending to identify opportunities to be more efficient to improve productivity, reduce cost and deliver a more compliant outcome.
Work with the Compliance Manager (Client and Regional) in undertaking Asset compliance reviews, implement any adjustments to task schedules as required. To carry out sample checks of work orders, support the implementation of any opportunities for improvement. Identify, share and promote best-practice.
Monitor and analyse staff productivity reports, provide observations and draw conclusions for areas of opportunity.
Support and work with the Area teams with analysis of bought in services and in-house tasks to assist with ‘make or buy’ decisions. Collaborate with the Commercial and area teams to help identify supply chain opportunities for development.
To produce monthly KPI reports and present this information to the Client.
To assist with the management of the reactive maintenance programme by ensuring procedural compliance with Maximo processes and that procedures are implemented and understood for timely instigation of follow-on/remedial works orders as required.
As a systems and software expert, support the Region and IT Project Department with rollout and implementation of new e-working devices.
To be a responsible member of the regional management team supporting other team members as required carrying out activities including, but not limited to, investigations, auditing, training, creating reports and analysing management information.
Experience & Qualifications
IT skills including the use of planning software i.e. Maximo with demonstrable skills or qualifications/training.
Knowledge of Facilities Management gained through a Level 5 qualification such as NVQ in a relevant discipline or gained through appropriate experience. Or demonstrable experience in the built estate and associated issues and factors.
Knowledge of maintenance and inspection methodologies including statutory and mandatory requirements.
Knowledge gained through membership of an appropriate professional body such as BIFM, Association of Building Engineers or equivalent (desirable).
Knowledge of H&S such as COSHH, manual handling, risk assessments and safe systems of work to IOSH Managing Safely level.

Someone who is inquisitive and curious, with a high degree of data literacy and is comfortable working with large datasets in various formats (eg: gantt charts, excel based tabular data etc..)
Ability to see emerging trends and patterns in data and using these insights to make better informed decisions for workforce optimisation.
IT skills including the use of planning software. Familiarity with IBM Maximo, including graphical scheduling and assignment a distinct advantage. Must be very confident with Microsoft Excel and Power BI tools or similar software.
Able to produce reliable management information and coordinate information gathered by others. Ensure KPIs for planned and reactive maintenance are met, and accurate reports produced for regional and head office management teams
Able to communicate clearly at all levels
Able to drive continuous improvement (BSi process audit familiar or qualified an advantage)
