We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Contracts Manager to work on a PFI schools contract in Enfield. You will work alongside the Contracts Manager to support the management of 5 schools across 3 sites. You will people manage a team of site managers, providing motivation and support to the team while ensuring a high level of work to give great customer service to the client.

This is a great feeder role into Contracts Management and will introduce you to P+L and client management as well as building on people management skills. This is a well-run contract with performing staff and friendly customer. Please note as there are 3 schools, this role will require working with busy, dynamic and changeable workload.

The role is site based at one of the schools in Enfield.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Manage the delivery of the facilities services across a PFI schools account.
  • Manage and motivate 3 Site Managers to provide a great service to the customer.
  • Ensure KPI's are hit for planned and reactive maintenance across the sites.
  • Implementing improvements to the contract to improve service, within both hard and soft services.
  • Managing Assets using the in-house CAFM system
  • Training and development of staff
  • Managing the staff training matrix and carrying out in-house training for staff and subcontractors including toolbox talks.
  • Making sure contract compliance is met
  • Management of site health and safety, including performing in-house audits

The Applicant


  • The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
  • Proven experience of leading an FM operational team
  • Experience of working in a school
  • Lead by example attitude
  • Experience in CAFM, Finance and Intranet HR / Payroll Systems
  • Excellent Customer skills
  • Proactive, can-do attitude
