We stand as leaders in integrated facilities and corporate real estate management, currently expanding our team in London Docklands. We seek a dedicated Data Centre Engineer to uphold our exceptional standards.
Role Summary:

As a Data Centre Engineer, you will oversee planned and reactive maintenance tasks, ensuring alignment with safety protocols and company policies. Reporting to the Building Engineering Supervisor and Shift Leader, your meticulous approach is crucial, especially in adhering to health and safety regulations and completing essential safety documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise routine maintenance across building plants, equipment, and systems, ensuring compliance with service agreements.
  • Address Building Management System alarms promptly and execute emergency repairs when needed.
  • Implement and oversee controls within the Permit to Work systems.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs) in line with organizational guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with the L8 standard for Evaporative Cooling Systems and domestic water systems.
  • Oversee the availability of essential spares for equipment maintenance.
  • Maintain comprehensive maintenance records using REALM task sheets.
  • Develop strong relationships with both our team and client representatives.
  • Promote a culture of safety and adherence to organizational and client-specific policies.
  • Uphold the company's professional image and commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Continuously enhance technical skills through ongoing learning initiatives.
  • Ensure meticulous documentation in work packs, including subcontractor RAMS reviews.
  • Play a pivotal role in incident management, particularly during unforeseen on-site incidents.
  • Execute HVAP duties in alignment with the role's requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Training in Manual Handling.
  • HV Authorization.
  • Up-to-date Wiring Regulations certificate.
  • Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • Certification in Emergency First Aid at Work.
  • Proven track record in incident management within a critical business environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of health and safety standards pertinent to maintenance.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to safety.
  • Ability to function cohesively within a team and independently.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, especially in high-pressure scenarios.
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to interface with clients across all levels.
  • Proficiency in operating vertical access equipment.
  • Flexibility in terms of working hours.
  • Preferred certifications in PASMA & IPAF.
  • Familiarity with interconnected systems such as Fire, PMS, BMS.
  • Demonstrated accountability and ownership in previous roles.
