We are currently seeking a Group Sales Manager for a hotel group in San Francisco. This stylish meeting place, offering a resort-like experience, has become a popular destination for Bay Area entrepreneurs, executives, residents, and visitors. As a Group Sales Manager, you will report to the Director of Sales & Marketing and be responsible for targeting, soliciting, and cultivating business within the group market segment. Your efforts will be directed toward securing mid-week room night production and revenue generation, as well as securing group-affiliated meeting and food & beverage revenues.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and cultivate new and existing accounts to achieve or surpass revenue targets through phone outreach, external sales visits, property tours, and written communications.
- Actively oversee, assess, and solicit all current and potential group accounts within the assigned area.
- Oversee the drafting of proposals and contracts for the group market, ensuring sales closure, deposit collection, and advance payment of designated accounts.
- Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
- Make sales visits to major accounts, coordinate sales campaigns in the designated region with the Regional Sales Office and partner properties, and organize familiarization trips for key clients.
- Serve as the hotel’s representative at community and industry events.
- Manage group room bookings to control availability, allocations, and pricing strategies, optimizing revenue in the group sector alongside the individual traveler segment.
- Participate in the creation of annual marketing strategies and budget planning, and regularly review objectives and action plans.
- Create new marketing materials for the group market segment and oversee the implementation of direct mail campaigns.

- Ability to communicate customer needs and resolve complaints independently
- Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments while working independently with minimal or no supervision
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of international degree in Hotel Management or Marketing and progressive work-related experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of hotel sales experience, with a preference for luxury brands.
Salary:
$80,000-$90,000 + bonus paid quarterly up to 25%
