One of the largest data centre organisations globally, and market leader in their field, have a requirement for a multi-skilled M&E shift engineer to be based at one of their data centres in the City of London. Working on a 24/7 "continental" shift pattern, the role will be working a rotation of days and nights and involve planned and reactive maintenance to electrical, mechanical and general HVAC systems within a critical environment. Guideline salary for this position is circa £46-48k salary, with a competitive benefits package includin discretionary bonus, private healthcare, pension scheme, overtime and healthy training budget.
Candidates will be fully qualified in either electrical or mechanical engineering, ideally through a full apprenticeship, and with at least five years of experience of building services maintenance. Preferably this will have been served within a critical environment such as a banking HQ, data centre, corporate HQ. Alongside core technical certificates, additional training such as City & Guilds 2391, LV / HV authorisation, F-Gas, etc will all be beneficial and candidates will possess working knowledge of the following systems:
· UPS
· Generators
· LV Electrical Systems
· High Voltage systems
· BMS and monitoring control systems
· Fire Alarms
· Fire suppression
· Air conditioning
· Water Systems
· Environment Control
· Health and Safety
