We are recruiting someone to join a well-established hospital contract in Newcastle. The hospital is a large acute building on a PFI contract, and we are looking for a HTM Compliance Manager to join the team. The role is office based at the hospital and will be supporting the engineering team by monitoring the HTM compliance. Working alongside the Technical Services Managers, who are delivering the PPM and reactive maintenance, you will review the legislation around HTM and complete frequent site audits to make sure the team are compliant. Working with the managers you will create advisory points and implement them where the is a shortfall and create training plans for new starters to create a compliance/health and safety first culture on site.
With 19 years left on the contract this role is a stable long-term role with excellent promotional opportunities.
This is a great and unique opportunity for an engineering supervisor with some risk assessment/auditing experience to come off the tools into an office-based role and be part of the management team. This role would also suit someone such as Estates Officer or Compliance Administrator with a strong working knowledge of HTM’s.
Duties of the role include:
- Completing risk assessments and site audits.
- Identifying compliance issues and creating solutions, then working with the relevant team members to roll out and implement the solutions.
- Reviewing and implementing policies and procures.
- Training the technical team on compliance issues to ensure they are doing their job to a high standard and understand how to meet the HTM compliance requirements.

- Creating induction systems for new starters to ensure strong knowledge of compliance requirements ensuring adherence to legislation in their work.
- Reporting analytics around HTM’s, legislation and SLA’s creating monthly compliance reports and data trends.
- Presenting analytic and improvement plans to the senior leadership team.
- Attending client meetings with the AP’s, NHS Trust and SPV as required.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Must be knowledgeable in HTM compliance legislation
- Strong analytical skills
- Compliance auditing experience
- Experience with CAFM systems is desirable
- Coming from an engineering background would be an advantage
