We're seeking a Data Centre Supervisor to join our dynamic team in London. As a global leader in integrated facilities and corporate real estate management, we strive for operational excellence in Critical Facilities/Data Centre management. The successful candidate will possess an in-depth understanding of Data Centre infrastructure (Electrical, Mechanical, and DC-specific) and will oversee the effective inspection, operation, and maintenance of all associated assets within the Data Centre.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate all M&E systems within the Data Centre proficiently, including HV Electrical isolations/operations, while considering business risk and energy efficiency.
Make recommendations for improvements and provide concise technical reports as needed. Ensure Specialist Sub Contractors adhere to approved Standard Operating Procedures/MOP/PTW/client change requests during their visits.
Review Specialist Sub Contractor worksheets, ensuring quality of work, and communicate recommendations to the Data Centre Operations Manager.
Accurately report all completed work orders, including precise recording of any critical spares/stock items used during tasks. Review and prepare MOP’s, SOP’s, EOP’s, and associated risk assessments.
Champion QHSE compliance activities such as Hazard/Near Miss Reporting and conduct regular Toolbox Talks. Proactively attend nominated training courses identified by management in line with DCS training matrix. Contribute to a positive team culture regarding personal development and training.
Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of safe systems of work, ensuring compliance with relevant QHSE policies and procedures. Supervise completion of assigned planned and reactive maintenance tasks. Support training and development of technicians and apprentices.
Participate in engineering Quality Assurance processes to validate standards of completed works. Supervise day-to-day house shift and day team performance.
Manage holiday and sickness cover for shift and day teams. Support the ESM / TSM in all areas as required or directed accordingly. Manage critical plant repairs & equipment with the in-house team and sub-contractors.
Skills Required:
Experience in Data Centre or Critical Environment operations and/or experience as a supervisor in an FM role. HNC/HND in relevant field or associated Electrical/Mechanical Apprenticeship (Or Similar). 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with all levels of staff. Drives operational excellence within the team.
Willingness to attend on and off-site training for plant and systems, potentially requiring nights away from home. High level of initiative.
Ability to comprehend and act upon both verbal and written instructions. Enthusiasm and demonstration of pro-activity, diligence, and alertness, with willingness to participate in appropriate training schemes.
Desirable:
HV Authorised Person.
