Job Title: AC Foot Mobile Supervisor

Work Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM

Role Overview:
A hands-on Air Conditioning Foot Mobile Supervisor is required to lead a team of engineers and maintain all environmental conditions for critical building systems. This includes performing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, and breakdown repairs on all AC units within the site.
The AC Foot Mobile Supervisor should have experience with Chillers, CRAC units, Split A/C units, VRVs and VRFs, FCUs, and AHUs, with the ability to troubleshoot using graphical information and alarm data. This role is essential for ensuring plant availability and maintaining statutory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Maintain and supervise a team of engineers.
Maintenance & Repairs: Perform AC unit maintenance and repairs across various sites within specified time frames to meet customer expectations.
Reactive Callouts: Respond to callouts as needed and provide proactive maintenance where applicable.
Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure H&S compliance and report any breaches.
PPM & Reactive Tasks: Carry out routine PPM on all AC equipment as per site schedules and asset lists. Complete reactive tasks across the portfolio and suggest improvements.
Documentation: Maintain logbooks and F-Gas registers in compliance with legal and industry standards. Ensure paperwork is up-to-date and forwarded to the contract administrator.
Spare Parts & Equipment: Ensure necessary spares are available for maintenance and reactive tasks. Provide parts lists and time estimates for remedial work.
Overtime: Work overtime when required.
Dynamic Risk Assessments: Prepare and use dynamic risk assessments to ensure safe working practices.
Relationship Building: Foster good working relationships with BGIS staff, subcontractors, and client representatives.
Lone Working: Undertake lone working when required, after completing satisfactory training.
Task Completion: Ensure assigned tasks are actioned and completed appropriately with a focus on H&S awareness and adherence.
KPIs & SLAs: Comply with contractual KPIs and SLAs.
Out-of-Hours Call-Out Rota: Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota.
Additional Tasks: Complete any other tasks as directed by management.
Compliance & Reporting: Ensure the engineering team submits near-miss reports, risk assessments, and site activity records. Address non-compliance as necessary.
Tool Certification: Confirm company-issued tools are PAT compliant, certified, and logged. Ensure specialist meters are up to date with certification and compliance requirements.
Quotation Support: Assist the Client Supervisor in constructing quotations by estimating time, materials, and detailing required parts and work.
Risk Assessment Review: Review and understand risk assessments and method statements before starting work.
Qualifications:
NVQ/C&G Level 2 (preferably Level 3) in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
Fully Qualified F-Gas Engineer (C&G 2079 Cat 1).
Accountabilities:
Reports to the Engineering Manager and is accountable to the Contract Manager.
No direct reports.
No direct budgetary responsibility.
Person Specification:
Education:
NVQ/C&G Level 2 (preferably Level 3) in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
Fully qualified F-Gas Engineer (C&G 2079 Cat 1).
Basic education with good English and Mathematics skills.
Training:
Fully trained F-Gas Engineer (2079, Cat 1).
Formally trained in Electrical, Mechanical, Air Conditioning, or Refrigeration disciplines.
Experience (Essential):
Experience in fault-finding, maintaining, and repairing various A/C systems (e.g., Chillers, CRAC units, DX units, Split A/C units, FCUs).
Experience with mechanical and electrical equipment in corporate and critical environments, including data centres.
Desirable Skills:
BMS experience.
Aptitudes:
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Character:
Dedicated to providing excellent customer service.
Calm under pressure with sound decision-making skills.
Physically fit and able to carry tools and components (up to 20kg).
Able to work at heights and use vertical access equipment.
