I am delighted to be working with a landmark conference and event space to find the new Head of Building Services. This role will be equally demanding and rewarding and we are looking for a generalist who can flex their skills across Hard & Soft services, H&S, utilities, security and Project Management. This is a large and busy venue and you will play a key role in the smooth running of operations.

About the role:
The Head of Building Services will lead 2 direct reports and be a budget holder for the department. You will manage contractors & sub-contractors and work consistently to ensure the building is compliant and operational, taking a guest first approach. The venue is about to embark on a series of reinvestment and improvement projects, so project management skills will need to be strong.
All about you:
• NEBOSH / IOSH Qualified
• Technical qualification – Ideally in Electrical Engineering or Hard FM Equivalent
• Excellent knowledge of Hard Services – able to challenge suppliers / contractors
• Strong Project Management Skills – Using CDM systems
• Strong Financial management and reporting skills
• Excellent people skills – able to mentor your team and deal with customers
• Flexible approach to tasks – detail oriented
• Ability to establish and implement SLA and KPI targets
• Exceptional Health and Safety knowledge
• Previous experience in and FM leadership role – ideally from Hospitality / Events / Corporate setting
• An understanding of public sector would be an advantage.
