We are currently recruiting a Technical Facilities Manager to manage the hard services on a national portfolio of commercial buildings, based from home with occasional travel to sites (2 per month). The role is 37.5 hours a week and centers around managing external contractors who will deliver all ppm and reactive maintenance across the contracts. The manager will ensure the service is being delivered to a high and compliant standard while managing relationships with the client across the portfolio. This is a very well-run contract which has a great rapport with the client and has just been re-signed for another 5 years.

Duties of the role include:
- Manage external contractors to deliver a full PPM and reactive M+E service across the client portfolio.
- Manage works to ensure that they are completed in a timely manner in line with KPI and compliance guidelines.
- Visit sites (2 per month) to complete site inspections and hold meetings with the client.
- Establish excellent working relationships with internal and external client contacts.
- Manage all documentation surrounding the contract.
- Manage 2 remote based staff.
- Create remedial quotations and manage remedial works.
- Check external contractor quotations for efficiency and value.
- Proactively and professionally manages client relationships, delivering superior customer satisfaction at all levels
- Ensures compliance with all company programmes, processes and procedures
- There is no financial management on this contract, it’s managing service and contract adherence.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Technical FM background (Mechanical or Electrical preferred)
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio etc)
- Sound report writing skills.
- Good CDM regs knowledge.
- Experience managing subcontractors.
- Knowledgeable with permits to work and risk assessments.
- Good customer service skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work remotely.
