Role: Health & Safety Officer
Location: Manchester
Salary: up to £35,000
We are currently looking for a Health & Safety Officer to work with our client in Manchester.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide task-specific health and safety advice, ensuring colleagues understand and implement sensible, simple, and relevant H&S practices.
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments, providing feedback and ensuring compliance with health and safety laws.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, manage the incident reporting system, and analyse incident statistics to identify trends and recommend mitigation measures.
Identify and address safety training needs, ensuring programs meet business requirements, and assist with safety promotions to raise awareness.
Coordinate and participate in H&S meetings, manage H&S noticeboards, and serve as Fire Safety Officer for events, providing clear guidance on fire safety roles.
Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate will be required to work weekends, evenings and public holidays.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous Health & Safety experience, ideally within large venues
IOSH/NEBOSH qualification
Excellent IT skills and customer service skills
