Assistant Project Manager

Join our clients  dynamic team as an Assistant Project Manager, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality construction projects across a PFI contract.

Collaborate with experienced professionals and contribute to the success of diverse and challenging projects.

Your efforts will directly impact the efficient execution and management of key initiatives, providing you with invaluable experience and growth opportunities in project management.

Duties Include:


Assist the Project Management lead in delivering construction projects/works, including:


  • - Procurement and management of new build contracts and Life Cycle works
  • - Management of large and small construction variations on PFI contracts
  • - Resolution of Construction Defects across a Facilities management contract
  • - Risk management and programme management
  • - Protection of Project Company investment
  • - Record maintenance and report preparation
  • - Assist in procuring and executing required works, coordinating with FM contractors and clients
  • - Ensure necessary consents and approvals are obtained, complying with CDM requirements.
  • - Develop relationships with building occupiers and specialists to facilitate delivery.
  • - Participate in relevant meetings and provide timely information for project boards.
  • - Manage and deliver projects on behalf of project owners.
  • - Prepare, review, and authorise Impact Assessment documentation.
  • - Record all time spent on each project accurately.
  • - Stay updated on project and programme management developments, sharing best practices.
  • - Address and report sustainability issues throughout the project life.

Qualifications/Requirements


  • - A degree or diploma-level qualification in project management, building surveying, FM, engineering, or a related discipline (at least at Diploma/HND level) is desirable.
  • - Experience within the PFI environment would be beneficial.
  • - Experience with hospital healthcare projects would also be an advantage.
