Technical Services Manager
- Location: Manchester
- Salary: £48,000 - £53,000 per year
- Contract: Full-time
Are you ready to take on a leadership role where your work directly improves the lives of others? We are looking for a proactive and skilled Technical Services Manager to join an established team at a prominent hospital in the Manchester area.
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a team, manage a range of estate services, and make a real difference in a healthcare environment.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and manage electrical, mechanical, and building services across the hospital.
- Act as an Authorised Person for key estate systems, ensuring compliance with UK regulations.
- Respond to estate emergencies, activating escalation plans when required.
- Oversee planned maintenance, emergency repairs, and capital projects to keep the hospital running smoothly.
- Manage and develop a team of skilled estates staff and contractors.
- Provide technical advice to teams, ensuring best practices and high safety standards.
- Control budgets, manage service contracts, and drive cost-effective solutions.
- Ensure all estate records, audits, and compliance requirements are met.
- Works as part of a larger estates management team where you will be supported and offered good progression opportunities.
What We're Looking For:
- Strong Technicl background - ideally electrical - in large commercial systems (the site features UPS, HV and LV)
- Experience in facilities in a live customer environment
- Good people person able to communicate at all levels
- Ability to motivate a team of engineers and lead from the front
