Our customer are a North American Construction & Real Estate business, operating globally and with an enviable portfolio of trophy assets they both own and deliver engineering and FM services for across the London region. Due to internal restructure, they seek a Mechanical-bias Engineering Services Manager to be based at one of their flagship multi-tenant towers in the City of London, to join a best-in-class team and supporting planned/reactive maintenance as well as some projects delivery. This is a rare opportunity to work "in-house", helping to manage a directly employer team of both shift and day M&E engineers, to deliver a 5* services to plant, landlord & shared areas throughout the year. Building is home to a number of high-profile corporate tenants including financial services and legal firms, with good communication skills a vital tool for prospective candidates to possess. Guideline salary for this role is £83-88k for the right individual, along with attractive benefits which include annual bonus, healthcare, pension scheme, paid OT, and a suite of other benefits.
Candidates must be fully qualified in mechanical engineering, ideally through a full apprenticeship, and with at least five years of engineering / technical management experience. This should have been served in a similar high-profile commercial environment such as a high-rise tower, banking / law firm HQ, etc. Along with core mechanical qualification, there should also be a demonstrable history of having served as a AP / SAP in Mechanical Systems, Pressurised Systems, Ventilation, etc.
Relevant working experience should include:
Mechanical Fault-Finding, Pumps, Motors, BMS Operation, Air Handling & Fan Coil Systems, VRV/VRFs, Water Chillers, Diesel Generators, Sprinkler & Fire Alarm Systems, Water Treatment, Cooling Towers, Pressurisation Units, Booster Sets, L/M/HTHW Systems, etc.
Some of the day-to-day duties would include:
Day to day duties will include:
o Ensure that all services are delivered inline with the key performance indicators as per contractual agreement
o Internal & client audits are completed and are at the required levels both from and adequacy & effectiveness perspective
o Ensure the building is fully compliant from an organisational perspective, applicable to both statutory and legislative compliance
o Ensure compliance against the company policies & procedures for all HSEQ aspects
o Actively report and non - compliance issues
o Work with Senior Technical Services Manager to ensure all aspects of engineering maintenance delivered in accordance with framework
o Complete regular audits to ensure compliance to company processes
o Report any non-compliances identified
o Ensure all risks are reported both internally and externally when required
